SMS Concast project documentation allows immediate identification of any part or component of the plant even if it was installed and commissioned many years ago.

Based on such immediate identification of part or component preparation of offers and also delivery of parts can be effected in the minimum possible time, minimising the capital engaged. Reduction of administrative cost and capital engaged can be achieved by appointing SMS Concast as a buying agent. As a buying agent SMS Concast is able to handle any spare and wear part of the plant on behalf of the customer, minimising interaction with third parties optimising the ordering and delivering process.

With sufficient identification of part or component SMS Concast can also be the buying agent for plants where SMS Concast is not the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).


SMS Concast as a partner for spare & wear parts will:

  • Ensure availability of plant by on-time replacement of parts (preventive replacement/preventive maintenance)
  • Restore operability of plant after unplanned incident or defect with minimum production loss
